Anyone can view the content within public groups, and posts of public group members appear in the Home feed.
The content within private groups are exclusive to members. Admins of private groups established their own member criteria and manage their own membership lists.
Admin profiles are created automatically as part of the Create Group process. You may choose to modify the profile when prompted after creating a group, or go back to it afterwards to add more personal details.
Admin profiles have some super powers such as only their posts may be pinned to the top of group pages.
As many as you like. Group size is not restricted.
Some post types allow for either a providing or seeking intention to be expressed. Providing is used when offering a particular opportunity, and seeking is used when wanting to secure a particular opportunity.
Just your name and email address.
There are two phases in the credentialing process. The first, Create Credential, is to describe and promote a credential earning opportunity in association with a post. The second, Issue Credential, is to ensure the right people receive credentials and the experience is as personalized as possible.
We recommend taking time to consider the relevant competencies and measurements of achievement for earning a credential. As well, we encourage issuers to incorporate their organizational branding in the badge.
We recommend getting your recipient list in order. You can do that in the Contact List section of your group admin dashboard.
If you already have an account with us, just click “Add to Account.” If you don’t have an account yet, sign up for free then add it to you account.
Group admins have a special connection to groups, but they are not members. By join a group as a member, you can create a member profile and take on another role within your group.
Posts, groups, and credentials have social network icons that when clicked allow you to post them on your socials.
You can add them to your resume, post them on your socials, and add them to your LinkedIn profile. You can also share a link to your credential in email, as well as show them on your phone.
You can also print them to frame and hang on a wall.
You control who sees your credentials. It is up to you how and where you want to share them.
Skill Squirrel account holders may join any public group they want. However, the group admin has the ability to remove members.
In the case of private groups, only the group admin is able to reject, add, and remove members.
Endorsements and recommendations are features associated with private group profiles. To earn endorsements and recommendations, join a private group, complete your profile by adding your skills, and make posts. Other group members that connect to you through your posts will be able to endorse your skills and provide a recommendations.
